The Space is ready for our second Adults Showcase 'ON BROADWAY'.
This course is for all Beginner to Intermediate level dancers who would love the opportunity
to tick performing on stage off their bucket list OR for those who just LOVE performing but don't get the chance to do it often.

A modern retelling of Romeo and Juliet; WEST SIDE STORY tells the tale of two young people whose happiness is destroyed by the hate of two enemy camps in New York City’s urban jungle. The “Jets”, sons of previous immigrants to America, battle the new arrivals from Puerto Rico, the “Sharks”, for domination of the streets. One of the most well known musicals of all time, it’s score is a blend of classic musical theatre and latin american influence. The 1961 film adaptation went on the win 10 Academy Awards.

BEETLEJUICE is based on the 1988 comedy-horror film of the same name, about a deceased couple who try to haunt the new inhabitants of their former home and call for help from a devious bio-exorcist ghost named Betelgeuse (pronounced "Beetlejuice"), who is summoned by saying his name three times. It features music and lyrics by Australian composer Eddie Perfect, and despite the cast recording only being released in June 2019, BEETLEJUICE claimed the title of 3rd most streamed cast album of the entire decade.

HADESTOWN, tells a version of the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, where Orpheus goes to the underworld to rescue his fiancée Eurydice. At the 2019 Tony Awards, HADESTOWN received a total of 14 nominations (the most for the evening) and won 8 of them, including Best Musical and Best Original Score. The show’s folk rock and New Orleans-style jazz score has been described as ‘hypnotic’.

SMASH, a musical-drama television series, features music from illustrious musical theatre composers Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. The show revolves around Julia and Tom, a songwriting duo in the process of writing their latest musical Bombshell; a musical re-telling of the life and death of Marilyn Monroe. The series enjoyed critical success. The first season received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography among four nominations.

RENT is a rock opera loosely based on Giacomo Puccini's opera La Bohème. It tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists struggling to survive and create a life in Lower Manhattan's East Village in the thriving days of Bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. RENT won the Tony Award for Best Musical in 1996, and is widely considered revolutionary for it’s portrayal of HIV/AIDS and the LGBT community.

THE LION KING is the story of a young lion prince living in the flourishing African Pride Lands.

ALADDIN is based on the successful 1992 disney film of the same name, and feature music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Ashman, Tim Rice, and Chad Beguelin.
Set in the fictional Arabian city of Agrabah, the story follows the tale of a poor young man who is granted three wishes by a genie in a lamp, which he uses to woo a princess and to thwart the sultan's evil Grand Vizier.
ALADDIN was nominated for 5 Tony Awards in 2014, including Best Musical and Best Original Score, and is currently the 11th highest-grossing broadway production of all time.
